Car Games
There are many car games you can play while on a trip. Whether or not it is a short drive to the grocery store or if you are traveling across the country for a family trip or road trip with friends.
One of the funnest games to play is called Beetle Bash. It is where you are supposed to lightly punch someone in the arm or leg and call out the color of the Beetle that you see. The only problem with this game is people tend to start punching/hitting harder and harder. It can get competitive but is loads of fun. It can also be played in conjunction with other car games as well.
A little more complex game that requires keeping score is called Auto Add. The first person to 20 points wins. Each person pics a car color. Every time you see a car with that color you get to add a point. When you see a semi-trailer you lose a point. For every cop car, fire engine, and ambulance you see you add five points. You can add obstacles or different things such as road signs, or trees you get to add or lose a point. Be sure everyone is aware if you add any more rules everyone is aware and agrees to them.
The alphabet game is a very popular one and anyone at any age can play. It’s a game that adults can play with their kids as well. You start off with the letter A and find something that begins with the letter A like apple tree, or acorns. Then you move onto the next letter until you get to the end of the alphabet. You can keep score if you like and add other rules to make it more interesting. You can also play motorbike games like this.
Continuous Story is something that can be played either in a car or at home. You start off with a story. When you say next the next person has to continue on with the story. It can get interesting and funny at the same time. It sounds easy but can actually be harder than it sounds.
Countries is very similar to the alphabet game. The only difference is that you start off with the letter A and name countries. You get one point for each country that you name. When you get stumped it’s the next person’s turn. They must pick up with the last letter you got wrong. The person with the most points once you get through the alphabet wins.
